Aquarelle

This weekend, Andrew took me on a surprise shopping trip to UO to recognize my hard work as of late, where I came across this perfect watercolor print number on the sale rack. And I thought since it was a watercolor dress it was only appropriate to take photos in this dried up stream.

A Touch of Bird Asymmetry

I decided this dress was a bit too even and added a touch of asymmetry with my favorite bird necklace.

Watercolor Print Detail

The print on this dress is absolutely fabulous and it is somewhat reminiscent Andrew’s abstract artwork so I am glad to have this dress associated as a gift from him.

Rose & Feline Rings with Dandelions

I have shown my rose ring many times here before but this feline ring is particularly special. It is from my late Grandma who I felt a particularly special bond with as a young girl for our mutual love of cats and art. We would exchange letters on cat stationary and in fact, Lucille is named after a quite lifelike stuffed animal Siamese cat she had when she lived in Florida and wasn’t allowed to have cats in her condo.

Shoes & Skirt

As predicted I am loving my Trip the Light Fantastic’s for the breezy Springtime weather.

Walking Upstream

I must admit this outfit is directly inspired by the lovely Rebecca of The Clothes Horse and more specifically her green watercolor print dress debuted here. Once I saw her print a watercolor printed dress was quickly added to my list of wardrobe wants. So in honor of her inspiration I decided to give her hair tutorial a try and venture out into my version of Utah woods.

As I was preparing this post I noticed I new post from The Clothes Horse in my RSS feed and great minds must think alike because watercolor-Seychelles combo Monday.
