Reality Blurred

Wearing this dress brings up a confession to one of my secret guiltiest pleasures – which is that I watch The Hills. Growing up in the 90s meant that I spent my summer vacations sneaking in episodes of Daria, The Real World and other such classic ‘trashy’ television while my parents were at work. So as part of that upbringing, I need my MTV and despite having canceled cable I still manage to watch The Hills and The City on my computer.

When I came across this dress at Kohl’s I had to have it not only because it is a super cute summer frock but also because it is branded Lauren Conrad and my wardrobe totally needed a bit of reality TV added to the mix.

Crochet View

A bit of a cool front rolled through Salt Lake over these past few days and so this crocheted cardigan, found in the depths of my closet, made a perfect match.

I, of course, had to pair this dress with my Eiffel Tower necklace in honor of ‘The Girl Who Didn’t Go To Paris’ drama of the show.

Trixie Watch Detail

This watch has a bit of a story to it, as it was gifted to me from Andrew for my birthday during our first year dating – he spent nearly an entire paycheck at the time obtaining it – I know he spoils me. I have always thought of watches as more of an accessory since I have such difficulty with analog time so I still wear it around even though the battery stopped years ago and the time remains static.

  1. The Hills and The City are my two guilty pleasures, too. Too bad The Hills has sucked lately and is over…
